If you get a virus on your computer you have most likely either been on a website you should'nt have visited or you have opened a mail attachment in an email that you recieved.

In most cases these viruses are harmless but they slow down you computer and in bad cases they will act as a tool for hackers to send out more viruses and spam through your email client or be used for "phishing".

There are lots of virus that can be found as an atttachment to any media file or any unknown document. They gets active as soon as they gets download and locate themselves in different registry of utilities installed in your systems
