You know I have always been leery about AVG because of it being free and never ever really asking you to buy anything for it to do the work that other virus protectors do. Does Avg actually work as well as any other viruse protection software out there?

I would say that AVG can find some threat on your pc but not all of it. For example it isn't as good as NOD32 that costs.

But I would surely use AVG and try that one first before i go buy another one.

I have used this program for many years, and installed it on many of my friend's machines.
None of these machines has ever been infected by a virus.No AV is perfect, but I've been very satisfied with this product through many versions.
